Udaipur, June 27, 2018: Maitri Sangh together with Adabi Sangam organized a Kavi Sammelan (Poem Recitation) in honour of the famous Poet, Shri Mahsahar Afgani. The President of Maitri Sangh, Fr. Norbert Herman SVD and the Assistant Director, Maitri Sadan, Br. Raju Soosai SVD welcomed the guests and invitees for this programme with flowers and shawls. The programme was started with a devotional song sung by Fr. Norbert Herman SVD. Professional poets from various places in the city gathered and presented their poem in their melodies and powerful voices. They presented on various themes, like, Tribute to our Mother Land, National Integration, Women Empowerment, Environment, Empowerment of Women, Water Conservation, etc. The Master of Ceremony was by Shri. Mustaq Chanchal. Vote of thanks was proposed by a famous social worker of the city, Shri. Naseeb Bano. The programme ended with snacks and high tea.
