Ogna Mission
Ogna is one fertile mission of the SVD missionaries. It comes under Diocese of Udaipur. It is a young and budding mission of central India province. There is a Church under construction by the generous contribution of the well-wishers. Primary evangelization is the priority of the mission. Around 150 families have accepted faith and regular to church activities. There are few more families (non catholic) who continue to come to the church for church activates. The furthest village is about 45 km. away from the mission station. The faith is kept alive by the pastoral and health care of two priests, catechist and sisters. There are frequent visits of the families by catechist sisters and priests. Visits of the families in the time of sufferings is a solace for the simple people. People are still to come to cope with the rest of the people in terms of economic, social and education. There is no disturbance from the fundamentalist as it was in the past.
School and Hostel
There is a Hindi medium school in Ogna named Assunta Bhavan Primary School, situated in a beautiful hilly area. There are two hostels for boys and girls. Children come from the surrounding villages to stay in the hostel and study in the school. There are 250 students both boys and girls in this academic year 2017-2018. The school is up to 7th class right now. Education and school environment play the biggest role in molding the generation of tomorrow and their attitude towards theirs future. Teachers take special care and interest to mold this children. We conduct activities like stage programs, value education and sports.
