National Assembly Elections – SIGNIS India

SIGNIS India got new office bearers – Fr Stanely Kozhichira is elected as the President of SIGNIS India during the General Assembly held at DBI Guwahati on 23rd February, 2018 for the period from 2018-2022. The Former President of SIGNIS Mr. Sunil Lucas handed over the baton to him in the presence of all the members of SIGNIS.

Fr. Norbert Herman SVD elected as the Vice President, Fr. Victor Vijay Lobo, as the Secretary / Treasurer, Mr. Nirmal Raj and Sr. Joeyanna D’Souza, elected as the Screening Committee members. Handing over of responsibilities to the respective office bearers was held after the election.

Republic Day Celebration – Pushpagiri

Udaipur 26/01/2018

Republic day was celebrated with the cultural program at St.Teresa Sr.Sec.School Pushpagiri. Children presented march-past and cultural program to celebrate Republic Day. Variety of dances from Assam, Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat and Rajasthan attracted the students. Fr.Norbert Herman SVD, Director of Maitri Sangh was the chief guest of the function. Rev. Sr. Priya PSA welcomed Fr.Norbert. He said that the Republic day is a reminder to remember all our leaders who worked hard to establish democratic India. We have a responsibility to live and promote Justice, Peace, Equality and brotherhood among all and strive to work for a better India. He emphasized “spread Love wherever you go”.

Later Fr.Norbert also addressed the students of The Universal Academy at Fatehpur and entertained children with Patriotic songs. Mr.Sandeep Singhatwadia thanked Fr.Norbert for his message and patriotic hymns. Mr.C.Kapoor, Mr.Bapna and Mrs.Sheetal Rotarian were present for the function.

Patriotic Waves in Udaipur

Udaipur 12-08-17 Sarva Dharma Maitri Sangh, Rotary Club of Udaipur Mewar and Rajasthan Patrika Jointly Organized Patriotic Singing Competition at St.Gregorios School. Sr.Damien PSA, Mr.Anil Masih, Fr. George Abraham and Mr.Abhay Malara were special dignitaries present. Eminent Judges were Mr.Dileep Surana, Renu Banthia and Mrnalika Sharma.

Maitri Sangh President Mr.Sandeep Singhatwadia declared the winners and Director Fr.Norbert Herman coordinated the function. Pramila Fernandez, Garima and Pratibha Dwevedi of Maitri Sangh were present.There were several music teachers and more than 300 participants from 14 Schools for the competition. St.Anthony G.V, Ryan International, Mahila Mandal, The Scholar’s Arena, The Universal Academy, St.Anthony HM, St.Teresa School, Seedling School, Alok School, St.Mary’s School, St.Gregorios School, Maharana Mewar, Central Public School and St.Paul School… Next Program was on Wednesday at Sukhadiya Rangmanch, Town Hall at 5.30 PM.

Patriotic Dance Dhamaka at Sukhadiya Rangmanch

Udaipur 17/08/17 Sarva Dharma Maitri Sangh, Rotary Club of Udaipur, Mewar and Rajasthan Patrika jointly organized Inter-School Patriotic Competition to inculcate Patriotism and value education for the school children of Udaipur. The Patriotic events included Poetry, Essay, Speech, Song and Dance competitions at various schools starting from 3rd of August to 16th August 2017. About two thousand school children participated and were given certificate and prizes to winners. Patriotic Dance Competition & Prize distribution function started by lighting of the lamp by Most Rev.Bishop Devprasad Ganawa, Dr.Arvinder Singh, Dr.Sujan Singh, Saidaraj, Mr.Sandeep Singhatwadia and Fr.Dr.Norbert Herman. Prayer Song Ek tu hi bharosa was sung by the children and apni Dharti, apna Suraj, Ham Muskurate Saste gate… enthralled audience  and slogans Vande Mataram… Bharat Mata ki Jai  & Inqlab Zindabad …   brought waves  and spirit of patriotism among children. Patrioric dances  all creative, unique and mesmerizing  enthralled the audience. Mr. Chandra Singh Kothari, Mayor of Udaipur inspired children and auspicious gathering to work for peace and harmony among all and contribute their share in making Udaipur a better place to live in. Other dignitaries were Sweeti Chabra, Rita Didi, Anil Masih, Sanjay Vyas and Sunil Rogers. Judges were sarika Pahuja, Pushpa Lodha and Dr.Charvi Jain.Similar Patriotic inter- school competitions were organized at various schools

Baal Kavi Sammelan at The Universal Academy, Essay Competition at St.Teresa School Pushpagiri, Speech Competition at Ryan International, Drawing Competition at St.Anthony School, Song Competition at St.Gregorios School. About three thousand students participated in the Patriotic Competition.They all were given Certificates and winners were given prize.

Baal Kavi Sammelan

Baal Kavi Sammelan was organized by Maitri Sangh Rotary Mewar & Rajasthan Patrika at Universal School Fatehpura. Around 40 schools’ students participated. Dr.Arivinder Singh Abhaya Malara, Saidaraj , Sandeep Singhatwadia and Pramila Fernandez were present.  Shayar Mustaq Chanchal & Abdul Hamid Bharti were the judges of the event. Sarva Dharma Maitri Sangh, a foundation for Peace and harmony organized peace rally on 20th  of December 2014. Mr. Sandeep Singhatwadia welcomed the all the guest on the dice and Fr. Norbert Herman SVD introduced and felicitated all the dignitaries. The rally began at 3 pm with performance on peace and harmony by Rooh Band. The children from St. Teresa Sr. Sec. School, Pushpagiri and St. Mary’s Sr. Sec. School, Fatehpura gave message of peace and unity of all the people through Shayari and songs.

Mrs. Rajani Dangi, the former Mayor of Udaipur was the chief guest for the rally, addressed and appreciated Sarva Dharma Maitri Sangh for the efforts to bring peace in the city of Udaipur. Mrs. Shanta Prince the President of Women congress of Rajasthan adressing the rally told that it is a need of the hour to bring peace in all humanity.  Most Rev. Bp. Devprasad Ganawa SVD, Mr. Dinesh Machwan, the president, Dharmostav Samiti, Mr. Anil Masih, the President,  All India United Christian Front, Mr. Chettan Jain, Chief Secretary, BJP were the prominent people on the dice.

The rally started at 4.15 by flagging off.  Mrs. Rajani Dangi, the former Mayor of udaipur, flagged off the rally. The rally proceeded to Udaipole, Suraj Pole, Bapu Bazar, Delhi Gate, Hati Pole, Chetak, and culminated in Our lady of Fatima Cathedral.

The prominent Jhankies were Sarv Dharm Tabulo by Jagnagrik Seva Samiti, Live Crib by Our Lady of Fatima, Horse Cart Crib by St. Teresa Sr. Sec. School, Santa Clause by St. Anthony’s School and St. Paul’s Sr, Sec, School, Sarva Dharma Tabulo by Brahma Kumari’s, Autrocity towards women by Maitri Karuna Mahila Sangh, Manger by Methodist Church.

The Various relligious Gurus addressed the rallly in different circles. Shri Prabhu Das Pahuja, representing Sindhi Samaj, Dr. Sujan Singh, Representing Sikh Community, Mahant Ras Bihari Sharan Shastri from Asthal Mandir, Mushtaq Chanchal representing from Muslim Community, Rev. Ajay, Dr. Paul Mathew Representing  from RPC, Mr. Anis Miyaji representing Bohra Community addressed the rally.

The rally was welcomed by the varoius shop keepers who made arrangements for the refreshment and welcome gates. There wer different people from various communities, schools, NGOs, people of the city marching almost 7 kms. Thousand of people witnessed the rally and felt the true peace within themselves.

At the end Most Rev. Bp. Received the rally in front of Our Lady of fatima Church and gave message of peace to all. Miss Bella Thomas and Mushtaq Chanchal anchored the rally. Fr. Norbert Herman SVD thanked all the participants those took the effort in this rally.
