Udaipur July 7,2013 A senior citizens Muskan club honored Sr.Demien in an august gathering at Oriental Palace, Udaipur. The President of the Club Mr.K.G Gattani welcomed Sr.Demien,Sr.Ignas, Fr.Norbert Herman SVD, famous literary persons Mrs Shakuntala, Mrs.Tarun , National and state Master’s Athletics’ championship winners Hema Soni,Santosh Soni, Kaleem Ansari, Balwant Singh, Yougendra Sharma, Mohan Chaudhary and club members.
Dr.Norbert presented a short documentary on Asha Dham Ashram and Sr.Demien briefed about the Asha dham Ashram and its activities. The Club members were moved to see how Sr.Demien and Sr.Bernard started Asha dham Ashram. At Present there are 170 inmates in the Ashram. Some are physically, mentally and socially challenged and all of them are in the same building.Therefore there is a dire need to separate male-female, children,young and old. Recently the State Government has allotted ten bigha land to expand the Ashram for which Ashram has to pay 10 % amount.
The club members collected one lac eleven thousand rupees to support the Ashram. The office bearers of the Club Mrs Sradha Gattani,Ratan Sukhwal andShyam Sunder Rajora and club members were present for this function.
