UCF began a week of Unity Octave Prayer on 18th January 2015. First day of the Unity Octave prayer was organized a Shepherd Memorial CNI Church, Chetak. The faithful from different churches took part in this prayer and prayed for the Christian Unity. Pastor Remison welcomed all the faithful for the fruitful prayer service and began the prayer.
After reading the Word of God, Rev. Jinoy Kuriakose preached the Word of God. He began his Homily saying “Jesus took unusual rout, towards the unloved people and became a symbol of Love”. The path Jesus took was not an easy path but difficult, critical, alienated, outcasted, ignored, unloved, forbidden path. He took this to create an inclusive society. Thus Jesus put an end to the untouchability. He also invited each and everyone gathered to create a society that is based on the Kingdom Values.
