Udaipur 26/01/2019- The Primary purpose of celebrating Republic day is to help the citizens to glorify and live the spirit of unity and brotherhood. This day also reminds us about the struggles and sacrifices of many freedom fighters and calls each citizen to cherish the freedom we have got.
70th Republic day was celebrated in The Universal School with patriotic fervour and gaiety. Dr. Fr. Norbert Herman, SVD the chief guest of the day hoisted the national flag and inspected the parade. In his address, the chief guest highlighted the significance of the Republic day. He made the students aware that the future of the country lies in their hands. Hence, they need to study well now and inculcate good values in life, which will help them to be good citizens of the country. He motivated the students to be enlighted citizens of the country, to participate in the development and contribute to the nation’s progress.
In spite of the severe cold wave, students performed various programmes. The school echoed with patriotic fevour as students danced and sang to mark the occasion. Through the recitation of poems and speeches, students brought out the significance of the day.
Mr. Sandeep Singhatwadia, the director of the school, the headmistress and teachers graced the occasion.
